Mercure St Albans Noke Hotel

Went here after the Harry Potter tour, for a night stay arranged by my parents for a birthday surprise. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful from the get go. The room was amazing, plenty of space and well looked after and clean. I used the pool while I was there really well kept and clean again with friendly staff on hand to help out. The meal we had that night was good and the staff even sorted out a birthday cake for me which was a lovely surprise. In all the hotel was top quality and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Will defferntly be recommending to friends and family who go to Watford.

Stayed for one night. Nice place, friendly and helpful staff. We had to change rooms, had another problem with our second room. When i told the staff they were very helpful and manager (Kamila) gave us free breakfast, which was really good with wide selection. Bad points - men's showers/tiles in gym area were dirty. Beds a bit on the hard side and place could benefit from a revamp. Other than that it was good for a single night. Would stay again.

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay here 2 months ago. Room service was efficient. Parking was a breeze. My only issue was the distance from town centre, however I knew that when I booked it so can't very well complain about that can I?! The staff were great and the room was good too. The room overlooked fields and trees so was pleasant to wake up in.

My experience of the Noke hotel is limited to attending a Wake there so I can only speak to what I found on that occasion. The building is well maintained outside, white and immaculate. The car parking is good and the parking area is also maintained well. Inside the hotel is clean, warm and very comfortable. The staff were polite and efficient. Our party had a pleasant room provided for our exclusive use. The buffet lunch was excellent; everything was beautifully fresh and appetising. The sandwiches and snacks were nicely presented, imaginative and catered for both meat eaters and vegetarians. There were plenty of signs to help you navigate from place to place. I really have no fault to find.

We were there for a funeral reception this afternoon and our first visit. Very convenient to reach, straight off the Noke roundabout. Parking easy and there is blue badge facilities too. Small and intimate and felt very welcoming. Staff young and attentive. The toilets were clean and smelt lovely - so important - but I would say, the larger lady could have a bit of a squeeze in the cubicle!! The sandwiches were a good selection and afternoon tea/coffee very good. All in all excellent first experience of a Mercure, although the prices could be high ... not sure, so check them out. Had a light, fresh feel to the hotel atmosphere.

Lovely hotel which was perfectly situated! 15 min drive from st Albans which was lovely to explore with a stunning cathedral. And 15 min drive the other way to Harry potter world!! So perfect for us, friendly staff with full use of pool, sauna and steam room so that was a huge plus. Rooms were simple but had everything required. Food was lovely at the hotel and something that made me super happy was when asked for a take out box, They had these biodegradable boxes (instead of the standard plastic tubs) and paper straws! so big shout out for that.
